A Google Business Profile Checklist for Local Businesses
· 4 min read · By Omnidox
For many local searches, your Google Business Profile is the first thing a customer sees. If it's thin or wrong, they call someone else. Use this checklist to see how complete yours is.
The essentials
- Primary category is the most specific one that fits (not just “Contractor”)
- Secondary categories cover your other main services
- Every service is listed individually with a short description
- Business name, address or service area, phone and website are correct and match your site
- Regular hours are right, and holiday hours are set
- A booking or call link is added
The things people skip
- Fresh photos of real work, your team and your location
- Answers to common customer questions
- A short, plain description of what you do and where
- Replies to your reviews, positive and negative
Keep it current
A profile that was right last year may be wrong today. Check it monthly: new services, new hours, new photos. If you'd rather not, that's part of what we handle for you.
